The Classic walking cane is crafted from carefully chosen elm. Each piece is meticulously chosen, cut, worked on a router, sanded and sprayed with a protective clear coat lacquer, making it a distinct, attractive walking cane. The handle is attached to its shaft using a mortise and tenon joint. The mortise and tenon method is an unparalled joint method known for its unusual strength; it has been used in wood working for centuries.
