About the Etching Engraver

Iron Horse Engraving is a home-based laser engraving business that specializes in engraving pictures and logos on wood. Picture engraving involves using a laser to etch the image into the surface of a material, which can be wood, glass, ceramics, or coated metal. Wood is often used for engraving because the natural grain pattern creates a stunning effect. First, a picture is transformed into an image suitable for engraving, then a CO2 laser is used to etch the image into the material, creating a unique one-of-a-kind engraving. In addition to custom-made projects, Iron Horse Engraving engraves railroad pictures and produces a line of ready-to-assemble model train kits.
